Horse-riding, cake, singing and more cake!

To start off our final full day together in CDO (for this visit at least!), I tried to brush Nica’s hair. It went about as well as you’d expect 😂. I need more practice on long hair! She was a good sport about it!

Once Nica had sorted her hair out and we were ready, we headed south towards the mountains. Nica had some places she wanted me to visit before we left CDO. First stop on our adventure today was a place called Chelly’s. It’s a farm, based on sort of an American Ranch I think, it was very nice! Their signs for the bathroom were factually accurate, I am told!

While we were here, we snapped some photos of the displays and signs on the farm.

The Horseback Riding one was interesting! Yes, I had a go! My first time riding anything but the donkeys at Dawlish Warren!

It was kind of scary at first, I felt like I was really high up and I am not keen on not driving so to speak, so it took a bit of getting used to. By the time of the second circuit I felt very comfortable! It was really good fun another new way to travel, checked off my list!

Next stop on our trip was to a beautiful vista. We had a quick stop here and snapped some shots looking down into the canyon. It really was beautiful here and very quiet.

Next up, we headed to the Sunflower farm. There were, as you can imagine, a great many sunflowers on show here! There were plenty of other beautiful flowers too as you can see!

We had some lunch here, I got some snaps of the menu for comparison purposes…

We had some snacks and a drink before making our way back to the car.

By now, it was time for us to return back to the city. We made our way to Macabalan and Nica’s family home. We were going to celebrate Nica’s ‘beshy’s’ birthday, so we got cake! As you can see, Barbie was most interested in the food!

To round off the night, we had some karaoke! Everybody had a turn and it was really good fun. I even butchered “Hey there Delilah” (sorry fans!) and there may be video out there somewhere!

Once the singing was over, it was time for everyone to head home. Nica’s friends returned to their homes, me and Nica returned to the Loop. Tomorrow we’ll be flying to Manila for our last few days together. Please join us for more then!
