We started off this morning at our Condo in The Loop. In the Philippines they don’t have as much TV as we do back in the UK but they do have MTV 90’s available, finally some TV in a language I understand!
Very groovy! Our next destination was Nica’s Family home back in Macabalan. On the way, we stopped off as Nica wanted me to try and play the lotto. I had to get us a lucky pick for tonight and 1 for tomorrow.
Nica took some photos from the car and was laughing throughout. Apparently the lady to the right, out of shot, was the owner of the stand and found the whole interation hilarious! We came out of it with 5 tickets though, 20 pesos each.
Back at the family home, we collected Jastine and Sheena to take them for a treat as it is Sheena’s 21st birthday tomorrow. The first place we went is a place called Yaki Mix. This is like an all you can eat buffet with a cooking plate in the middle of the table and the girls brought back plates of food and cooked them at the table until they were full. Not for me, but they enjoyed it!
Soon after this, we got back in the car and started heading towards our destination for the night at Dahilayan Forest Resort. As usual, once we get outside the City in the car, there are some incredible views and scenery of the local area unchanged by people. There were also these Umbrellas attached to motorbikes. Seems like they’d work fine when stationary but surely once you start moving, you’re getting wet? Also a huge pineapple on a roundabout because why not?
Once we arrived at the resort, Nica went to park the car and I went with the Manghuds to get us checked in. We had to pay our security deposit and extra cash for an extra foam as this was originally a 2 person stay so we needed extra bedding. We then made our way down the hill towards our room and the cafe to get some food and drinks.
After dinner, we headed back to the room. Once inside, we got washed up and spent the evening chismis’ing and watching TV. I spent some time under the AC unit as always ð. Got some nice shots of gwapa Nica on the way
