Back in CDO – The jungle, the Korum and the dentist, twice!

We woke this morning in our new accomodation in The Loop Tower in the Limketkai area of CDO. We are on Floor 25 of 26 so have a wonderful view from our balcony! Limketkai seems quite posh to me, there’s a great big hotel nearby called the Luxe and it’s like it’s made of gold. I am told this is where the posh people stay in downtown!

After breakfast, we headed out towards Gaisano to visit the dentist to see about getting some work done. Nica accompanied me there; the most incredible thing for me was how quickly we could get seen, literally within hours! Good luck getting seen within months if not years back in Blighty!

Next up we called into a mall to buy some extra Pasalubong and visited the Jollibee statue as we passed by!

After this we met up with the Fam and made our way out to meet Tita Tata, a Tita on Papa’s side. She lives out on the family land to the south. Nica tells me she and her siblings all have their own land here to be shared, however it needs a lot of work to do anything with it as it’s currently jungle mostly and missing basic amenities we in the UK take for granted.

I did get to hold a chicken, another brand new experience!

After we went outside for a tour, I saw the biggest Moth I ever saw! I also tried one of the local starfruits, fresh from a tree; sadly, it was not to my taste! At least I gave it a go…

Shortly thereafter, we wrapped things up and headed back to the car. The next place we have planned is very exciting and we were all very keen to get there!

As we pulled up outside, we took the opportunity to get some more photos as Papa Carlito parked the car for us.

We then took the opportunity for some more photos in front of The Korum! This is a really nice place with fancy decorations and live music playing out on a big wooden deck overlooking the valley below.

Once inside, we enjoyed our food. It was a beautiful evening and was a good way to catch up with the fam and explain all about our adventures.

On our way back home from Uptown, we called into the Dentist again to see Dr Dagatan. Meant I got to dress up again in the safety outfits they have! I don’t think it suits me!

This was everything for the day today, we were still fairly tired from a few days in Camiguin so retired to our Condo in The Loop and had a quiet evening.

I hope you can join us tomorrow; we are going out with the extended fam again and it’s quite a journey down South!
