Cebu to CDO Ferry

On the Thursday night we were booked on to the 2GO MV Maligaya. It was scheduled to depart at 1930 but we got a message saying it’d be 2330 which was nice, meant there was less of a rush and we’d not arrive in CDO so early the next morning (About 8 hours ferry). Conveniently, this came in handy because the Taxi we booked, took us instead to the Airport! Whoops! Finally we got to the Ferry Terminal which was a lot busier than I expected.

After we boarded the ship, Nica & I went to our room and Jastine & Sheena went to theirs. We upgraded both rooms to the Statesman room. 2GO’s idea of business class is definitely not aligned with mine but the upgrade to the Statesman room were definitely worth it as you can see below:

We then slept through the night, the journey was really comfortable and I barely even noticed I was on a big-ish ship for the first time. We had a shower in the morning and then headed out to deck to watch us dock in CDO!

Inside the ship I bought a souvenir or 2 to bring back home with me. There was a cool little shop called Mini SO which had the cool stuff in it!

Finally we got off the ship and set foot in Cagayan De Oro. My first time in Mindanao! We were greeted by Nica’s Mama & Papa who kindly took us to their home in their car.
